TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GENERAL POOL RULES/DRESS CODE
Please be mindful this is a residential location - disruption and noise must be kept to a minimum at all times.

Please do not use detergent on swimming clothes, no creams or oils of any kind including make-up, suncreen, perfume or after shave, these all need to be kept out of the pool to maintain water quality and cleanliness.

It is advised that swimmers must shower, use the toilet and blow their noses before the lesson begins.

Swimmers must all wear a suitable swimming cap.

Children may wear swimming goggles if they choose to. Teachers may sometimes request goggles to be removed during lessons.

Toddlers must be potty trained and completely out of nappies.
-
Please be respectful of the lesson in progress and limit any distractions.

Swimmers should not enter the water until invited to do so by their swimming teacher.

Swimmers must leave the pool as soon as the teacher has ended the lesson.

Under no circumstance should anyone run on the poolside and children must be kept away from the pool at all times to avoid accidents and distracting lessons.
BOOKING

By booking, or by attendance at a swimming lesson with us, you accept these terms and conditions.

You will ensure that any children that you bring to the swimming pool will follow the rules set out in these terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time. You will be notified of changes by email.

PAYMENT
-
All lessons must be paid for in advance and the invoice states the balance due date.

Any payments more than 14 days overdue may result in your place no longer being held.

School holiday lessons must be paid in full prior to the first lesson and are not refundable or changeable after this date.

We do not accept credit card payments or school vouchers.

The current cost of lessons is as follows:

1:1 30 minute lessons £42
-
2:1 30 minute lessons £21 per person

Adult 30 minute lessons £45.00

SCHOOL HOLIDAY LESSONS

MISSED LESSONS
-
Alison’s swim school would appreciate it if you could notify us at least 24 hours before the lesson where possible if your child/adult is going to be absent.

We are unable to offer a refund for a lesson that is missed for any reason.

We can offer an alternative lesson only if availability allows. This will not be possible when fully booked although as stated in ‘illness and medical conditions below, we do offer you the option of a friend or family member using the lesson, this extends to any age or ability including adults.
POOL CLOSURES AND CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a pool closure or lesson cancellation, you will be contacted via email and text message as soon as possible. Please note that we can only make contact if the correct contact details are given on the contact form and returned to us. Any problems completing the contact form please advise us.

Any credit arising from lessons cancelled by us will be shown on your subsequent invoice.
CANCELLING YOUR LESSONS

Should you wish to cancel your swimming lessons we now require 4 weeks notice from the start date of the next block of lessons

ILLNESS AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If your child is feeling unwell, we recommend that you do not bring them to their swimming lesson.

Children with a contagious illness should not attend swimming for a period of 48 hours after the symptoms have passed.

Should your child appear to be ill during a lesson, we reserve the right to cancel their lesson.

Alison’s swim school are unable to offer refunds for lessons missed due to illness or any other reason. We do however offer you the option of a friend or family member using the lesson, this extends to any age or ability including adults.

You must inform us of all medical conditions and special educational needs when completing the booking form. Any new conditions that may affect your child when swimming, should be made known to alison’s swim school via email sandralearntoswim@gmail.com
TEACHING POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Swimming teachers are only responsible for pupils during their swimming lesson and parents/carers are responsible at all other times. The swimming lesson begins when the swimming teacher accepts charge of pupils and ends when the lesson time finishes.

Parents/carers must remain on the site while the pupil is in their lesson. This is imperative in case of the unlikely event of a medical emergency, evacuation, or other emergency situation.

Parents/carers and other children must not distract a swimming teacher during lesson time. Parents can speak with teachers briefly at the end of each lesson. Please keep children away from the pool at all times while not swimming.

PUPIL PROGRESSION AND BADGES

All swimmers are taught and assessed in line with the swim England award system and badges and certificates are available.

Progression of swimmers will be at the discretion of the teacher.
